About The Convergence Foundation
Ashish Dhawan is a leading Indian philanthropist, who in his earlier avatar founded and ran ChrysCapital, one of the first private equity funds in India. In the last decade, he has played a pivotal role in building successful institutions, such as Ashoka University, and strategic foundations, such as the Central Square Foundation, which works on ensuring quality school education for all children in India. He set up The Convergence Foundation (TCF) in 2021 to tackle the most important challenges facing India by building pioneering institutions and supporting bold leaders.
The Convergence Foundation seeks to identify the Archimedean levers for India’s growth & development high-leverage opportunities that can catalyze pivotal outcomes. We currently support fourteen organizations through their seed stage across two pillars (direct engines of growth & human capital development). The organizations work on diverse areas, such as labor-intensive manufacturing, science & technology, effective governance and acceleration of Indian philanthropy.
In the next phase of our journey, we aim to exercise our strengths as a philanthropic foundation to drive economic growth in India. While we will continue building institutions, we also aim to drive strategic projects around economic growth and development.

Position Summary:
We are seeking Managers and Senior Managers to lead Talent Acquisition for The Convergence Foundation (TCF) or our partner organizations. This role is crucial for experienced professionals passionate about the impact sector and adept at scaling organizations through strategic talent acquisition. Candidates should possess a creative approach to lateral hiring and a robust network to leverage, along with significant experience in team management. This position offers a substantial opportunity to influence our growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Talent Mapping: Identify and map job profiles to relevant talent pools in nonprofits, for-profit organizations, and academic institutions, with a focus on managerial and senior managerial roles.
Role Specification Development: Understand the complex role and skills requirements across various organizations, crafting detailed and attractive job specifications.
Candidate Engagement: Proactively engage high-quality active and passive candidates through extensive networks, innovative sourcing strategies, and strong partnerships.
Database Management: Build and maintain a comprehensive candidate database to minimize dependency on external partners and streamline the recruitment process.
Recruitment Strategy Implementation: Design and execute effective talent acquisition strategies tailored to the needs of different thematic areas and verticals within the organization.
Candidate Selection Process: Oversee a robust selection process, including interviews, psychometrics, and reference checks, ensuring alignment with organizational values and requirements.
Lifecycle Recruitment Management: Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to successful onboarding, optimizing each phase for efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
Educational Background: An undergraduate or master’s degree from top-tier institutions in business, industrial/organizational psychology, human resources, communications, or a related field.
Professional Experience: 6 to 12 years of work experience in talent management, including significant team management responsibilities within high-stakes environments.
Networking and Relationship Building: Exceptional ability to network and build relationships, coupled with a talent for recognizing and attracting best-in-class candidates.
Communication and Presentation Skills: Strong capability to articulate and present ideas effectively, catering to both external and internal stakeholders.
Strategic Planning: Advanced planning and organizational skills, with a keen ability to set priorities, plan timelines, and meet deadlines within a managerial context.

Compensation
Remuneration will be competitive with Indian philanthropy pay scales and will depend upon the candidate’s experience.
