I am confused about the organization or the type of role
- On organisation: If you are interested in one particular sector, go for the organisation working on it! However, most of the times we have seen that candidates are passionate about the nature of the problem (for example, wanting to create impact at scale, or giving back to society in a meaningful way) rather than any particular sector
- On the type of role: For anyone with 0-5 years of work experience, we broadly look for similar skill sets. We expect you to be able to analyse a problem and come up with recommendations for senior leaders and policy makers, manage stakeholders, design a program, write/ present/ communicate well, etc. Go through the relevant roles and see if you have a slight preference. In case you are still confused, our team will help you make a decision after you submit your application.
What do you look for in a candidate?
We are looking for kind, smart, intellectually curious and driven people who want to make a difference. Roughly 80% roles we have are for generalists (i.e., people who can do multiple things - write briefs, design projects, work with stakeholders, etc.) and the rest require some prior specialisation (for example, training in pedagogy or M&E experience). What is the process like?
Step 1: (after application short-list) An introductory audio or video call conducted by a member of our talent team. In some cases, other team members may join this call
Step 2: Depending on your preferences of organisations and roles you are interested in, and the open positions we have, the talent advisor will take your candidature ahead to the next steps which include
Step 3: Behavioural and Skill Assessment interview; plus culture fit
Step 4: Completing an assignment (over 7 days) and an online assessment (a 55-minute long assessment to be completed within 48 hours of receiving the link)
Step 5: Final interview with the leadership team of the organisation you are being considered for
How can I best prepare myself for the interview(s)?
Go through the website and any introductory materials provided by the talent team for the organisations you will speak with. Do a quick google or Linkedin search for the people you will be speaking to. Ensure that you can communicate how your prior experiences have led you to pursue the role that you have applied for, and why you would be the best candidate for the role. Show interest!

Can I apply for multiple jobs?
You may apply for upto three roles. Our talent team will do our best to match you with one of the three roles after your conversations with various members of our team.
Do I have to finish my studies to start working at one of the portfolio organisations?
Yes. Unless the role specifies an internship position, we will only hire people looking for full-time positions after graduation.
What should I expect in my interview?
The interview will include behavioural questions, your interest in the sector and in the organisation, your passion, short to medium term goals, and the assignment.
What if my background and/or location preferences do not match the currently open positions?
We will do our best to match your skills and location preferences to one of our open positions. If these don’t match, our talent team will let you know of any future openings that align. Your CV is with us in our database!
Do you hire interns?
If a role explicitly states that we are hiring for an internship, then we are open to part-time and/or internship applications.

Is there flexibility if I want to pursue a master’s program?**
Most people who join us at the Program Associate or Program Manager level apply for graduate programs (business school, policy school or other masters programs). Our alumni have been to the top schools in India and the world! For candidates applying for Team Lead/Senior Program Manager roles, we typically expect these candidates to have pursued masters programs, and to join our organisations with the intent to stay for the long run.
