Job Title: Research Intern

About the Project: We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented interns to join our 6-month project focused on gathering insights about Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) and inclusive education. The project will involve both primary and secondary research to inform the development of educational interventions and policy recommendations.

Key Responsibilities during Internship:
- Conduct in-depth surveys and structured interviews with students, teachers, parents, and school administrators.
- Observe and gather qualitative data from different environment settings
- Ensure ethical standards are met during data collection, including obtaining consent and maintaining confidentiality.
- Input and organize raw data in digital formats for further analysis.
- Perform thorough literature reviews on existing studies, reports, and policies related to Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), inclusive education, and special needs interventions.
- Identify best practices and case studies from national and international sources that could inform the project.
- Compile key findings from research papers, academic journals, government reports, and other credible sources into summarized documents.
- Assist with data analysis, including coding qualitative data and performing basic statistical analysis for quantitative data.
- Organize research findings into concise reports, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Help create data visualizations (charts, graphs) to summarize key trends and findings.
- Draft detailed research summaries, survey findings, and interview results.
- Collaborate with the team to synthesize primary and secondary data, contributing to the overall project strategy.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and next steps.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
Experience with data collection methods, such as conducting interviews, surveys, and field observations.
Ability to engage with students, educators, and parents in an empathetic and professional manner.
Note-taking and transcription skills to accurately capture qualitative data during interviews and observations.
Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as MS Excel or Google Sheets, for organizing and interpreting data.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify patterns, trends, and insights from data.
Strong written communication skills for drafting reports, research briefs, and data summaries.
Ability to present research findings clearly and concisely for a variety of audiences.
Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple research tasks and data sets.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
Eligibility for the Internship:
- Students who are enrolled in ongoing programmes of Psychology & B.ED(Special Needs)
- Previous internship experience in education, psychology, or special needs research.
- Basic knowledge in data collection, conducting stakeholder interviews and gathering data for analysis.
