The Convergence Foundation (TCF) is an Indian philanthropic foundation dedicated to catalysing rapid and sustained economic growth to enhance the lives of all Indians. Established by Ashish and Manisha Dhawan in April 2021, TCF builds on their legacy of impactful philanthropy, including the founding of transformative institutions like Ashoka University and the Central Square Foundation.

Position Summary:
We are seeking Senior Managers / Associate Directors to lead Talent Acquisition for The Convergence Foundation (TCF) and support our partner organizations. This role is crucial for experienced professionals passionate about the impact sector and adept at scaling organizations through strategic talent acquisition. Candidates should possess a creative approach to lateral hiring through internal teams and a robust network to leverage, along with significant experience in team management. This position offers a substantial opportunity to influence our growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
Innovative Talent Sourcing: Create and execute fresh and effective ways to find and attract top talent. Build strong pipelines for roles at the managerial and senior levels by mapping relevant talent pools across nonprofits, companies, and academic institutions.
Designing Recruitment Strategies: Develop smart and practical hiring approaches tailored to the unique challenges of the impact sector. Use your professional network and creative thinking to make talent acquisition more targeted and effective.
Leading and Managing the Team: Lead and guide the recruitment team by setting clear priorities, supporting their growth, and creating a collaborative and goal-driven work environment. Ensure the team delivers results while continuously improving.
Understanding Role Requirements: Work closely with hiring managers to understand whats needed for each role and craft clear, attractive job descriptions. Make sure the roles align with the goals of both TCF and its partner organizations.
Building Candidate Relationships: Actively connect with potential candidates through direct outreach, networking, and innovative methods. Build strong relationships with active and passive talent to position TCF as an employer of choice in the impact sector.
Collaborating with Partner Organisations: Partner with TCFs partner organizations to align hiring efforts with their specific needs. Be their go-to advisor for finding and hiring the right talent to help them grow.
Managing the Full Recruitment Process: Oversee everything from sourcing to onboarding, ensuring each step is smooth and efficient. Continuously look for ways to improve how we find and bring in the best people.
Maintaining a Talent Database: Build and maintain an organized, up-to-date database of strong candidates to reduce reliance on external recruiters. Use it to make hiring quicker and more efficient.
Understanding the Impact Sector: Make sure every hiring decision reflects the values and mission of TCF and its partner organizations. Bring in people who are not only skilled but also passionate about making a difference.
Driving Improvements: Regularly review and improve recruitment processes, introduce new tools and methods, and keep an eye on industry trends to ensure TCFs hiring practices are always ahead of the curve.Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
Educational Background: An undergraduate or masters degree from top-tier institutions in business, industrial/organizational psychology, human resources, communications, or a related field.
Professional Experience: 12 to 18 years of work experience in talent management, including significant team management responsibilities within high-stakes environments.
Networking and Relationship Building: Exceptional ability to network and build relationships, coupled with a talent for recognizing and attracting best-in-class candidates.
Communication and Presentation Skills: Strong capability to articulate and present ideas effectively, catering to both external and internal stakeholders.
Strategic Planning: Advanced planning and organizational skills, with a keen ability to set priorities, plan timelines, and meet deadlines within a managerial context.

Compensation
Remuneration will be competitive with Indian philanthropy pay scales and will depend upon the candidates experience.
