About The Udaiti Foundation:

The Udaiti Foundation is a Delhi-based not-for-profit foundation aimed at accelerating Womens Economic Empowerment (WEE) in India. Udaiti has been incubated by The Convergence Foundation by Ashish Dhawan to identify critical voids in the social sector and build strong, long-lasting organisations to solve complex problems. The organisation counts Ashoka University, ACT Grants, AIP, CSF, CEGIS, CRISP, and CEDA as its cohort of foundations aiming at collective impact. Our vision is for a world where all women and girls have expanded choice and attain their full economic potential. Udaiti aims to act as a strategic influencer and force multiplier in the field, bringing together the non-profit with the public and private sectors. The Foundations mission is to increase womens share of quality jobs through expanding demand; and scaling womens enterprises & entrepreneurship. In that effort, the Foundation leverages a range of levers - data, applied research & insights; technical advisory support; solution generation; and co-creating strategic platforms for amplification and field-building.

Udaiti seeks to develop flagship impact strategies and leverage existing social/ administrative infrastructure & platforms for scaling impact. Udaiti is taking forward engagements at the state and national government levels to drive this agenda through a partnership driven approach. TUFs government engagement work looks at:

1. Integrated Strategy & Technical Assistance to govt entities at a strategic level

2. Elevating WEE as a Priority

3. Improving WEE Program Designs through advisory and evaluations

Two of our present flagship engagements include Techno-advisory support to the Govt of Uttar Pradesh on advancing womens economic empowerment in the state; and supporting NITI Aayog on multiple initiatives including the Womens Entrepreneurship Platform and the National Data Analytics Platform.

Position Summary

The Programs Lead - UP will be responsible for leading the Women's Economic Empowerment (WEE) program and strategy initiatives in Uttar Pradesh. This role involves close collaboration with the State Government and other stakeholders to drive systemic change and advance WEE objectives in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Leadership: Lead the development and execution of WEE programs and strategies in Uttar Pradesh.
• Government Collaboration: Partner with UP government entities to provide strategic and technical assistance aimed at elevating WEE as a priority.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Foster partnerships with government, private sector, and other relevant stakeholders to create an ecosystem conducive to WEE.
• Policy Advisory: Provide expert advisory support to improve the design and implementation of WEE programs through policy evaluation and strategic inputs.
• Impact Scaling: Design and execute flagship impact strategies driving scalable outcomes and expanding programs across the state level.
• Research & Insights: Utilize data-driven insights and applied research to inform and enhance WEE programs.
• Advocacy & Field Building: Co-create strategic platforms for advocacy and amplify efforts to build a strong field for WEE.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

• A strong academic background from a reputed institute with a Master's degree in management, economics, etc.
• 15+ years of proven experience in leading programs related to womens economic empowerment, social development, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of public policy, government engagement, and systems change in the context of WEE.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with government officials, private sector partners, and other stakeholders.

• Excellent strategic thinking, program management, and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Remuneration

Remuneration will be competitive with Indian philanthropy pay scales and will depend upon the candidates experience.
